A day in my life: Thursday December 9, 2010

Thoughts:
Yesterday I had a dinner date with my BF K. As you might know after reading my blog for a while we do that about twice a year. But before we went to the restaurant we did a little shopping. You all know how much I love shoes so guess what I’ve bought? That’s right: shoes! K. bought some lovely black pumps and I got myself these.

After that we went to the restaurant. We had decided to eat Mexican this time. The restaurant opened recently so we wanted to try it out. I really loved how they decorated the place.

K. had an avocado filled with shrimps for starters and I had tortillachips with guacamole.

We ordered the same main dish: a burrito.

Because it was almost end of the year we also ordered a bottle of wine to go with the dinner.
As usual I had a great evening with her and I look forward to our next date.

Exercise:
I missed my Pilates class on Tuesday because my Blackberry died Tuesday afternoon. I was trying to fix it and by the time I watched the clock it was past 7 and the class had already started. My Blackberry is the only phone I have and I needed to get it restarted which I did after almost 3 hours.

Today was perfect weather for running outside but unfortunately the walking paths and roads where I run were still icy and slippery and I don’t want to risk it that I fall and have an injury. Decided to go to the gym instead and do my run on the treadmill. It was a good run, did 5.2K (3.2 miles) in 35 minutes.

  1. Love your new shoes! And that restaurant looks fun and tasty! We are having our friends holiday dinner at a Mexican restaurant this year. I’m really looking forward to it!

  2. Oh oh oh oh oh oh I WANT THOSE SHOES!

Was that burrito huge? Because it looks huge, almost as if you could have shared one.

  3. sexy boots Fran! whistle whistle ;-) .
Looks like we are on the same mind frame ;-) . I started yesterday and the changes are really overwhelming me but I’ll get through it!

  4. Love those boots and love Mexican food. My specialty is making guacamole–it’s a favorite around here!

  5. Hi Fran,
I love those boots! They are super stylish:) I am also a sucker for Mexican food….Mmmm…guacamole is so freaking good:)

I sent you something in the mail yesterday. Keep an eye out for it…I have no idea it takes for mail to make it to the Netherlands.

    Take care Fran!

  6. Ohhh sexy boots! Nice!

I ♥ Mexican! We have a cute little place here that his similar decor. We don’t do much eating out anymore, but when we do, that’s one of my favourites.

  7. Those boots are gorgeous – can’t wait to see what outfit your pair them with! Glad you had such a nice dinner with your friend – I know she means so much to you. :)

After my little slip on the icy bridge, I don’t blame you one bit for not wanting to chance it. Good thing you have the treadmill option!

  8. Sexy shoes Fran. Woot! :)

Nice to have dinner with a friend. Good for you for running on the treadmill. Better that than a wipe out on ice!

  9. How fun, it looks like you had a great time with your friend. The guacamole looks great, I think it’s so funny that you have Mexican food there! You’ll have to visit California and try our Mexican food, yummy!
    Cute shoes!

  10. Your parents don’t speak English? What? I thought all Dutch spoke english. Heck, most Dutch speak english better than Americans. BTW, I live 20 minutes drive from Mexico.

  11. Love, love, love the shoes!!!!! (I’m a slight shoe addict.) :-)

I’ve been under the weather, so have only run/worked out once this week. The weather forecast calls for some sort of blizzard this weekend. Thinking it might be fun to run in it. I’m crazy, I know! :-)

  12. Those shoes are great!!The Mexican food looks yummy- I love chips and dip!!
