Yesterday I had a long meeting at work from 9 am till 3 pm. I have this meeting 6 times a year and am always very tired afterwards. I take notes at the meeting and since these are always important ones I have to stay focussed the whole time. These meetings also always include lunch and there are cookies and cake on the table. Until yesterday I always ate too much of the cake and of the lunch but not yesterday. I had a small slice of cake and only one sandwich and some yoghurt at lunch. I was very proud of myself and noticed I could concentrate much better after lunch by not eating too much.
I only worked this morning and used the afternoon to do my housekeeping and go to the gym.
I have to work tomorrow from 8 am till 6 pm and I have to drive an hour to get there. I’m going to work in one of our stores with a lot of colleagues. This store has won a contest and may call itself the best store in the Netherlands of all 161 stores we have. Usually the regular staff is going out this day and we take over the store but they insist on working tomorrow because we are going to throw kind of a party to celebrate this with the customers. I do this every year, it’s on a voluntary basis, and it’s a lot of fun to do. So I won’t be reading blogs tomorrow because I know that once I get home I do nothing more than lying on the couch 🙂 I have an office job and am not used to walking all day 😆

I’m still reading this book but this week I’ve been so busy that I didn’t get to read a chapter every day.
I will no longer write aboutthis book but will tell you every now and then where I am and how it is going. I will finish this book because it really helps me but starting next week my focus will be on working out because I notice that when I don’t do that much I’m not losing weight or just a little.
I have been puzzling with my workout plan now that I go to the new gym. As it’s a bit more expensive than my old one I want to go more often than to the old one. So in the uneven weeks I have planned to go the gym 3 times and run 3 times. In the even weeks 3 times gym and run 2 times. I have planned to go to Pilates every two weeks and to Zumba, also every two weeks. If this works for me I have to find out.
It has been raining all day and I wanted to go for a run but didn’t feel like running in the rain which I usually don’t mind. So I went to my new gym and stepped on the hated treadmill. I made it through 5K but it was a struggle, I can tell you that. I walked two times during my run and played with my speed so I kept it interesting for me. That helped but it’s still not my cup of tea. I prefer running outdoors. It also feels I’m running faster outside. But for today it was okay to use the treadmill.
Weather: I was inside but looking outside it rained.
