This has been a nice weekend, I’m not tired anymore because I took it easy. Did go for a run yesterday but for the rest stayed at home and relaxed.
Today I’ve been home alone and took Bella for a long walk of 45 minutes, after which she still got energy even though she’s still a puppy. I took Edward, yes that’s right I finally gave my Garmin a name, to see how far I walked. I named my Garmin Edward as I’m a big fan of the Twilight Saga and Edward in particular. As he is a vampire and can run like hell I found it suitable to name my Garmin after him. After I got home I watched “The Proposal”.
I’ve signed in for 2 runs in the fall. The first is in October and it’s in one of our National Parks so it’s in the middle of nature. I think it will be a lot of fun. I signed up for the 10K.
The other one is a 15K race in November and called “Zevenheuvelenloop” free translated as “The 7 hills run”. Yes, you’ve thought right: it’s got 7 hills in it. I have no idea how high they are but one of my colleagues told me this is a fun run and a good one to do while I’m halfway my half marathon training.
I might do a run in July and August that are at night but haven’t decided or signed in for that. And I’m thinking about a night run in November. I think this might be a very special experience. I can’t sign up for it yet so I’ll have some time to think about it.
The water lily’s in our pond are starting to bloom. I love water lily’s.
And it’s time for a weekly picture of our lovely Bella.

1. Tess Gerritsen – Life support
I did go for that run on Saturday morning. According to my marathon schedule I had to run 6K (3.7 miles) and I did. The last 2K were tough but I kept running. It was a good run and it felt good to be back at running since I haven’t run this far since April 18th.
After reading so much about protein powder I ordered some online this week and it arrived yesterday. So after my run I made a shake of protein powder with water. The powder has banana flavour. It was very tasty I have to say. Am going to use this after workouts cause according to you, my blogger friends, it seems to help.
Weather: sunny, bit windy, 18 ˚C/64 degrees.
Distance: 6.00 K / 3.7 miles

Replaced the 20 minute recovery run I had to do this week for a walk of 45 minutes with Bella and counted the miles up to my yearly mileage goal as it was not only for fun but also a workout.

For three years, Andrew Paxton has slaved as the assistant to Margaret Tate, hard-driving editor at a New York publisher. When Margaret, a Canadian, faces deportation for an expired visa, she hatches a scheme to marry Andrew – he agrees if she’ll promise a promotion. A skeptical INS agent vows to test the couple about each other the next Monday. Andrew had plans to fly home that weekend for his grandma’s 90th, so Margaret goes with him – to Sitka, Alaska – where mom, dad, and grams await. Family dynamics take over: tensions between dad and Andrew, an ex-girlfriend, Andrew’s dislike of Margaret, and her past color the next few days, with the INS ready to charge Andrew with fraud.
I liked this movie, it’s the perfect movie for a Sunday afternoon when you’re home alone. I usually like most movies with Sandra Bullock as most of them are feel good movies.
What’s for dinner:
Yesterday I made a salad with avocado and bacon, it was very tasty.
Today I ate the white asparagus which I got earlier this week with ham and eggs.
And with a glass of Prosecco.
Quote of the day:
I think every human being has a level of melancholy in life and in general.
